Learning about music

I’ve had a long-term love affair with music, all the way back to junior high and high school where I played the alto saxophone. Nowadays, I play a soprano sax, an EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) and keyboards. During the coronavirus pandemic, I’ve spent quite a bit of time learning more about music, including music theory, using Ableton Live, mixing and sound design.

My number one resource in this endeavor has been Udemy courses taught by J. Anthony Allen (or Jason Allen, as he’s referred to on the Udemy site). I highly recommend his courses! He has a ton of them and they’re all very good. I’ve learned a lot from J; he really knows his stuff. If you want to learn more about music, from theory to production, check out his courses.
